Those in Network Marketing today know that they are the only ones who can control their future in terms of wealth. You can’t simply get a degree and expect the same company to take care of you for 45 years until you retire anymore.

In this changing marketplace today, you need to become the most valuable person possible. And this goes beyond traditional schooling and training. This means taking something your passionate about, or interested in, combining it with technology, and using them to build your own business.

What I’d like to talk about is what so fantastic about this new economy. The greatest currency in this new economy is knowledge and information. Years ago it was oil, steel, gold, etc. Today it’s information. How quick can you learn something new, and more importantly, implement that new knowledge?

Because of this, the greatest industry to get involved with, along with technology, that also has low risk and fantastic potential for gaining wealth (as well as knowledge and information about mindset, marketing, and leadership) is network marketing today.

The home business industry is experiencing a revolution! If you combine technology (a.k.a. the internet) with a proven system (i.e. a network marketing company) and You, Inc (your passions and interests), you can absolutely break away from the dependency on the ancient school economy and build a residual income in your life. You know the ancient way – go to school, get an job, and hope for the best. We know that doesn’t work!

So, to reiterate, network marketing today is all about adaptation. Whether you have a college degree or not, all you need to know is that it’s pretty vital to adapt, and to leverage the power of technology.

And so you’re aware, there are resources for you to learn how to become a right entrepreneur, and to help you build a global business in this industry. You can build a business that generates 7 figures and has no overhead if you utilize the internet.

The point is, you should be looking (especially if you’re a business minded person) to work for yourself and become that entrepreneur instead of a worker bee in a cubicle, stagnating your creativity because you have to follow the “rules” all the time.

Network marketing today is about ingenuity, creativity, authenticity – about taking your passions, strengths, and god-given abilities – and turning them into a business. Your product, passion, thought, knowledge, is someone else’s solution to their problem. That’s what Network Marketing today is all about.

In this industry, there are businesses that have products that will augment your passion so you can build a business that brands YOU. You can build it but you want – part time, full time, working it into your life – and from your living room couch you can build a huge business. It’s all about becoming educated that there is another way to do things.

You can use a multitude of internet platforms, with tons of different online marketing strategies to market to an unlimited number of people, and build a business to get you out of your job. When most people reckon about starting their own home based marketing business it is for several reasons. They want to “be their own boss, write their own paycheck and work whenever they want.” That’s exactly why most of us get into this business. But, consider these few tips when setting up your marketing business.

My favorite “perk” of working from home is no boss standing over my shoulder. I no longer have to fight the daily commute to and from the office and there’s no tiny cubicle to call “home” for 8 hours a day. But, even working from home there are things that you need to take into consideration.

Working from home requires some discipline and a certain mind set. You really need a routine on a daily basis. Right, you no longer have anyone to tell you when and how long to work, but if you don’t get into a routine most likely the work won’t get done. It doesn’t matter whether you work in the morning, in the afternoon or in the wee hours of the morning. It can even be spread out over small periods at a time during the day. That is one of the fantastic things about working for yourself. You choose when to work and how long, as long as you stick to your routine.

Also consider you need your own “work space.” Somewhere that everyone knows you are “working” and “please do not disturb”. Place a “working” sign on your desk so everyone will know that you are busy at the moment. If you are constantly being interrupted it’s really no different than that ancient cubicle back at the ancient job. Which brings up another fantastic perk of working your marketing business from home. You can make your office pretty much anywhere you have an internet connection. The den, a spare bedroom, out on the deck, or my personal favorite, out by the pool.
